The Rev. Dr. Sean P. Gardner, Sr., is Senior Pastor of the East Ward Missionary Baptist Church in East Harlem. He has served in that capacity for the past 17 years building "the church between the bodega and the White Castle" into one of the strongest, most dynamic congregations in the city.
The son of preachers, Dr. Gardner grew up in the church and was active in various associations, usher societies. He was known as an anointed singer and musician before God called him into the preaching ministry.
On December 4, 2011, he celebrates his 18th Pastoral Anniversary at East Ward. The church has a number of events and services leading up to the anniversary.
